When you choose Kitchen Design Studio, you’re choosing cabinetry built from the ground up for outdoor living. Our exclusive WeatherStrong Cabinet System is engineered to handle the elements—resisting moisture, heat, and coastal air—while keeping its strength and style year after year. Every cabinet is backed by our Limited Lifetime Warranty for lasting confidence.
Kitchen Design Studio Cabinet System — our proven, weather-resistant design that stands strong against moisture, fading, and cracking.
Rust-proof confidence — marine-grade hardware keeps every hinge and handle looking like new, even in coastal air.
Easy-care performance — wipes clean in seconds, so your space stays as fresh as the day it was built.

The cabinet boxes are factory-built from 3/4” thick All-Weatherboard®, a waterproof composite material. The doors, drawer fronts, and decorative panels are made from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), a marine-grade polymer that will not delaminate, rot, or warp even when exposed to direct moisture.
Yes, but with one critical requirement: Any heat-generating appliance (grill, side burner, or pizza oven) must be installed with a manufacturer-supplied insulated jacket. Installing a grill without this liner can cause heat damage to the composite material and will void your warranty.
Every base cabinet comes with Sure-Level adjustable polymer legs. These allow you to level your kitchen on sloped patios or uneven pavers, ensuring your countertops sit flat and your doors remain perfectly aligned.
While the materials themselves are waterproof and will not degrade if they get wet, the cabinets are not "submersible" dry boxes. In heavy rain, some moisture may enter through the door seams. We recommend using outdoor-rated hardware and keeping items that must stay bone-dry in sealed containers.
WeatherStrong uses marine-grade stainless steel for hinges and drawer glides. However, in salt air environments, we recommend cleaning the hardware with fresh water and a mild soap several times a month to prevent surface "tea staining" or oxidation.
Absolutely. Because they are built to survive the outdoors, they are an excellent, high-durability solution for high-moisture indoor areas like laundry rooms, mudrooms, or basements that may be prone to dampness.
Yes. If the side or back of a cabinet is exposed to the elements or sunlight, it must be covered with a matching HDPE end panel. These panels provide the finished look and protect the cabinet box from UV exposure; failure to install them may void the warranty.
No. WeatherStrong cabinets cannot be painted. The finishes are thermo-fused or solid-core HDPE, and applying paint will prevent the material from "breathing" and may cause heat absorption issues, which voids the warranty.
